K.C. likes to create. He spent several years creating houses. He spent several years creating a piece of paper (Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology). He has worked primarily in early education over the past 15 years. He, and his wife, spent several years creating 4 of their own beautiful kids. Now, he spends most of his time creating books for kids.

Heart, Humor, and Play

In addition to his middle grade novels, graphic novels, and picture books, K.C. loves, cutting cardboard and card stock, building popups and popouts, testing the boundaries of what a picture book can be.

Awards and REcognition

"Mr. Bagley I would give your chicken book 1000 stars!" Yasmeen, 1st grader, while working on opinion writing after Mr. Bagley came and shared a few of his stories with her class. The maximum rating was 4 stars.

"I will give you 1 million dollars!" (Juan)
"I will give you 2 million dollars!" (Adam)
"I will give you 3 million dollars!" (Juan)
"Sold!" (Mr. Bagley)
2nd graders, Juan and Adam, started a bidding war for KC's "There Are Dragon's In This Castle" novelty play book dummy, after one of his presentations on writing and creativity. Unfortunately, neither of the students had pay pal accounts so the transaction was never completed.

What to watch?

K.C. likes westerns, science fiction and a good comedy. A few of his favorites: Silverado, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Three Amigos. If you would like something more recent: The Wyatt Earp docuseries on Netflix, The Dune Trilogy, and the Kung Fu Panda Movies.

Where Am I?

After living for 7 years in Saudi Arabia, K.C. is once again nestled in the beautiful mountains of western Wyoming. He's not sure where you are, hopefully standing behind an agent/editor/publisher/art director's desk.
